This bayonet bit holder from Wera has a quick-release Rapidaptor chuck and is suitable for use with 1/4in hexagon insert bits.
The total length of the Rapidaptor chuck is 4 inches, it securely locks your bits in place.
Fully extended in the handle, tip to tip is about 7 inches, collapsed at 5-1/4 inches.
Rapidator chuck can be removed and used in a drill.
